Location: Volcanic Mountain range in Guanacaste.
Tenorio National Park is comprised of the the Volcanic Mountain range near Guanacaste. The altitudes reach 1916 meters, where the climatic currents of the Costa Rica's Pacific and Caribbean coasts converge. This cloudy humid Tropical forest sustains a wide array of plants and animals including the great ceiba trees, jaguars, tapirs, a quetzals and among many other species.
Some of the captivating sceneries in the park include the lagoon, larges refugees of birds, the Celeste river, named after its coloration that it recieves from the minerals in the boilers and many thermal sources throughout the area. The park also contains impressive views from to the Guatuso, San Carlos and Guanacaste plains.
